Your personal Financial Management Course

You have selected the Personal Financial Management course (also known as Debtor Education), the pre-discharge education course. This course is required before a Chapter 7 or Chapter 13 bankruptcy case is discharged. This course is only for individuals or couples who have already filed for bankruptcy and have been assigned a bankruptcy case number by the Court.

The course is $12.50 for each person. The class is available 24 hours a day and only takes about two hours to complete. You will need a high speed Internet connection (dial up will not work) and your computer must accommodate Flash docs and MP3s. The course must be completed on a computer, it will not work properly on a mobile device. The course is supported in Mozilla Firefox and Internet Explorer on PC's. Other web browsers are not guaranteed to support the course. The course MUST BE TAKEN ALL AT ONE TIME. If you close the course and return to it, it will start you back at the beginning.

Alternatively, the course is available over the telephone on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays at 6 p.m. (CST) or Saturdays at 10 a.m. (CST). The telephone course is $25 for an individual and $40 for a couple.
